Lebanese Islamic Group Demands Full Israeli Withdrawal from Lebanese Territory

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, based on data published by Mehr News Agency, quoting Al-Manar, the Islamic Group of Lebanon announced in a statement on Saturday that the criterion for evaluating any agreement is the protection of Lebanon’s full sovereignty and the guarantee of the Zionist regime’s withdrawal from all occupied lands, the cessation of aggressions, the release of prisoners, and the safe return of the country’s citizens to the southern regions.
The statement added: Decisions regarding war and peace must be made nationally and responsibly, free from foreign dictates. Any debate about the monopoly of weapons in the hands of the government should not occur under the pressure of occupation and threats, but rather through serious national dialogue and a review of a comprehensive defense strategy to strengthen the army’s capabilities in protecting borders and the people.
The Islamic Group of Lebanon warned against making the withdrawal of the Zionist regime conditional on changeable or postponable security conditions, as well as limiting Lebanon’s right to self-defense.
The group further stated: The occupation must end, and Israel’s withdrawal must occur fully based on a defined timetable and Arab and international guarantees.
