Israeli Outlet Denounces Lebanon Deal as ‘Illusion’ Threatening Tel Aviv

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the Israeli website Zaman, referencing data published by Mehr News Agency, has characterized the US-mediated framework agreement with Lebanon as an “illusion that will explode in our faces.”
The outlet further asserted that the U.S. administration was intensely pushing for a deal between the Israeli regime and Lebanon to offer another opportunity for President Donald Trump to declare a celebratory achievement. This report likened the accord with Lebanon to Trump’s previous pronouncements about establishing hotels and casinos in Gaza or Iran without nuclear weapons and ballistic missiles, underscoring its perceived lack of substance.
Zaman described the situation of the Israeli regime as “very, very bad,” emphasizing that Tel Aviv has gained nothing from the agreement. The outlet attributes the deal to pressure from Washington, which it suggests is weary of Middle East complexities. The report concludes by stating that Israel is in a dire predicament, with Washington imposing agreements on Tel Aviv that are considered as valuable as the paper they are written on.
