Iran’s IRGC Warns West Against Strait of Hormuz Maneuvers, WSJ Reports

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has sent a warning message to Western nations via Qatari mediators, threatening to close the Strait of Hormuz if certain conditions are not met, according to a report citing informed sources.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, The Wall Street Journal, citing informed sources, claims that Iran‘s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has conveyed a warning message to Western parties through Qatari intermediaries.

The report indicates that the message emphasizes that Iran will once again close the Strait of Hormuz unless guarantees are provided for Iran’s exclusive control over the waterway. Furthermore, Iran has warned that it will take this action if the United States and Western countries do not abandon their plans to utilize the southern route of the strait, adjacent to the coast of Oman.
