Trump Vows to Block Chinese Control of Panama Canal, Criticizes NATO Allies

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, U.S. President Donald Trump announced that his country will not allow China to seize control of the Panama Canal. He stated, “We will not allow China to dominate the Panama Canal.”
Furthermore, Trump sharply criticized the Spanish government, asserting, “The Spanish are members of NATO, but they are not ideal members and do not behave appropriately.”
This reaction from Trump follows Spain’s refusal to grant Washington access to its military bases during a past operation against Iran. Reports indicate that this denial of access was a significant point of contention.
Continuing his remarks, Trump addressed the maritime traffic situation in the Strait of Hormuz, alleging, “Ships are exiting the Strait of Hormuz in unprecedented numbers that no one has ever seen before. We are setting new records, and oil prices are falling.”
