Iraq Prepares Grand Reception for Martyred Leader of Islamic Revolution

Iraq is mobilizing its populace and governmental bodies to ensure a magnificent reception and procession for the martyred leader of Iran’s Islamic Revolution, with extensive preparations underway in the holy cities of Najaf and Karbala.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Data released by Mehr News Agency indicates that the people of Iraq, along with its governmental institutions and political groups, are currently planning for a grand reception and procession ceremony for the martyred leader of Iran’s Islamic Revolution in the cities of Najaf and Karbala.

In line with these preparations, numerous banners and placards of the martyred leader of the Revolution have been erected in the streets of various Iraqi cities.

To ensure the implementation of necessary measures, Iraq has established a high-ranking committee comprising representatives from various bodies, including the Prime Minister’s office, the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF), the administrations of Najaf and Karbala provinces, the Holy Shrines Administration, and the Ministries of Interior and Transportation, among other governmental entities.

Meanwhile, officials in several Iraqi provinces, including Dhi Qar, Karbala, Najaf, Basra, and Baghdad, have decided to declare next Wednesday a public holiday to enable citizens to participate in the procession. This development follows calls from parliamentary circles and social groups urging the Iraqi government to make Wednesday a national holiday.
