New York Times: Ayatollah Khamenei’s Farewell Ceremony Showcased Iranian Unity

The New York Times reported that tens of thousands of mourners, including senior officials, filled Tehran’s Grand Prayer Hall for the farewell ceremony of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, with attendees chanting calls for vengeance.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the American newspaper The New York Times, in a report on the funeral and farewell ceremony for the martyred leader of Iran, stated that tens of thousands of mourners, including senior officials, filled Tehran’s Grand Prayer Hall on Sunday for prayers over the body of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, while the assembled crowd chanted slogans of vengeance.

The American media outlet added that the farewell ceremony for Ayatollah Khamenei was a display of unity among Iranian officials. Those present at the ceremony chanted “Vengeance, vengeance.” Many people also carried pictures of Ayatollah Khamenei and held placards demanding retribution for his blood.

The continuous presence of a massive wave of mourners at Tehran’s Grand Prayer Hall for the farewell to the martyred leader of Iran and the performance of prayers over his pure body has garnered the attention of global news media.
