US Threatens Cuba Amidst Calls for Political Change

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, in line with its interventionist policies, the United States has once again issued threats against Cuba. Based on data published by the Mehr News Agency, citing Novosti, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio addressed Cuban officials, claiming the country must alter its political path before it is too late.
Rubio stated in a threatening tone: “The United States will employ all available instruments to confront threats arising from the ruling system in Cuba against our national security.”
Rubio continued, making populist claims, asserting that the United States seeks to achieve economic and political reforms in Cuba to pave the way for a better future for the country.
This comes while the U.S. government’s oil embargo against Cuba has exacerbated the human situation in the country, leading to fuel shortages and nationwide power outages. Former President Trump had previously threatened Cuba with military action.
