Ansarullah Movement Rejects Jordan’s Airport Proposal, Demands Full Rights

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Abdul Wahid Abu Ras, the Deputy Foreign Minister of the Ansarullah government in Yemen, emphasized that the Yemeni people have resolved to secure their complete rights independently, stating that these rights are not limited to the resumption of flights. He further commented that the announcements from some airlines regarding the recommencement of flights to Sana’a Airport represent meager offers during critical times.
A source within the Ansarullah movement indicated that such actions would be welcomed if they are part of an agreement to end the restrictions imposed on Sana’a Airport. Sana’a’s demand is for the airport to be opened to all destinations without any preconditions.
The Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on Friday that it would resume flights between Jordan and Yemen. The ministry claimed this action was in response to the humanitarian needs of the Yemeni people and in support of Saudi efforts to advance the peace process in the country. Jordan stated that regular flights would be established between Amman and Sana’a, with technical and logistical measures to be finalized subsequently. The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs also welcomed this initiative.
Without referencing the aggressions against Yemen and Sana’a Airport, the Saudi ministry urged the Ansarullah forces to cooperate with this plan. It is noteworthy that Saudi Arabia had previously bombed Sana’a Airport during the landing of an Iranian aircraft carrying a Yemeni delegation. Furthermore, the Ansarullah movement had issued a strong warning against Saudi Arabia the previous day concerning the siege of Sana’a Airport.
