Lebanese Lawmaker Accuses US of Acting as Israeli Proxy

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Lebanese parliament member Ali Fayyad, affiliated with Hezbollah’s Loyalty to the Resistance bloc, stated that the Israeli regime’s attacks on southern Lebanon, assassinations, and destruction of homes, carried out with official state backing, are ongoing. Fayyad described the framework agreement signed between Beirut and the Israeli regime as a “true disgrace.”
He further elaborated that Lebanese officials are acting on a logic of the defeated, negotiating terms of surrender. According to Fayyad, these actions solidify Israeli occupation of Lebanon, justify enemy aggressions, and widen the divisions among the Lebanese populace.
Fayyad criticized the United States for failing to adhere to the first clause of the memorandum of understanding with Iran, which stipulated a halt to the war against Lebanon. He accused Washington of becoming a tool for Israel, which he claims is pushing the U.S. into conflicts that offer no benefit to America.
