US Energy Secretary Claims Trump Seeks Diplomatic Solution on Iran, Asserts Strait of Hormuz Security
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, U.S. Energy Secretary today, Saturday, made a claim without acknowledging the historical fact that the strategic Strait of Hormuz was open and secure before the United States’ aggression against Iran and its destabilization of the region. The Secretary stated, “We are currently working to ensure the flow of oil and gas through the Strait of Hormuz, either in cooperation with Iran or without it.”
The American official, who avoided recalling his country’s aggression against Iran amidst indirect diplomatic consultations between Tehran and Washington, claimed, “President Trump is always seeking a diplomatic solution and wants to resolve the issue through an agreement!”
He further asserted, “If Iran is willing to pursue a diplomatic solution, this path will be followed. Otherwise, we will continue to guarantee freedom of navigation!”
