Jordan Reports Missile Interceptions Amidst Attacks on Aqaba; US Aircraft Evacuated from Ramon Airport

Jordanian authorities reported hearing air raid sirens across the country and claimed to have intercepted incoming missiles, while Israeli media alleged American forces downed an Iranian projectile targeting Aqaba and that U.S. refueling planes were evacuated from Ramon Airport.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Al Jazeera reported the sound of air raid sirens in Amman, the Jordanian capital, and various other regions of the country. Jordanian television also confirmed the activation of air raid sirens in different parts of the nation. The Jordanian armed forces asserted their success in intercepting the launched missiles. Israeli Channel 12 claimed that American forces intercepted a missile fired from Iran towards the Jordanian city of Aqaba. Concurrently, Israeli Channel 13 reported that American refueling aircraft were evacuated from Ramon Airport following the attack on Aqaba. The Israeli military stated that it had tracked a missile launch from Iran towards the city of Aqaba and suggested that some missiles might fall within Israeli territory. The Israeli army also indicated the possibility of the conflict spreading to Israel as a consequence of the missile launch from Iran targeting Aqaba. Israeli Channel 12 reported hearing explosions in the Eilat and Aqaba areas due to the activation of air defense systems to intercept Iranian missiles. Simultaneously, Al Mayadeen network reported observing smoke rising from Aqaba.
