Yemen Imposes Maritime Blockade on Saudi Arabia, Cites Economic Security Demands

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the maritime blockade decision against the Saudi enemy has been operational since yesterday evening, according to data published by the Mehr News Agency, quoting Al Mayadeen. Mohammed Al-Qaderi, commander of the Yemeni Coastal Guard forces, emphasized that they possess the necessary naval combat capabilities to enforce this decision, similar to their actions against the Zionist enemy, which led to the prevention of ships linked to that regime from passing through the Red Sea and the Persian Gulf.

Al-Qaderi added that Yemen has become a significant regional power equipped with the military strength to impose new deterrence equations. He stated that Saudi Arabia faces only two paths: either lift the blockade on Yemen and cease its interference in the country’s affairs, or proceed with escalating tensions, which will come at a substantial cost for the Kingdom.

He further clarified that Yemen is fully prepared to implement a blockade-for-blockade, airport-for-airport, and port-for-port equation. Al-Qaderi pointed out that four years have passed since a ceasefire, yet the Saudi regime has evaded the implementation of the agreement’s provisions. He stressed that economic security is intrinsically linked to military security, and that Yemen has various options at its disposal.
