Russian Foreign Minister May Meet U.S. Counterpart at UN General Assembly

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Maria Zakharova has stated that there is a possibility of a meeting between Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and his U.S. counterpart on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly session this month. This potential meeting underscores the continued dialogue between officials from the Russian and American foreign ministries, both sides acknowledging the importance of these exchanges.

Zakharova further elaborated that the foreign ministers of Russia and the United States regularly share their positions and perspectives on the conflict in Ukraine and engage in phone conversations when necessary. Previously, Lavrov and his U.S. counterpart met in July on the sidelines of the ASEAN Regional Forum in Manila.
