Russian and Saudi Foreign Ministers to Discuss Iran and Strait of Hormuz

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov met with Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan in Moscow on Tuesday to discuss regional developments and the ongoing conflict between the United States and Iran.
The two sides are expected to reaffirm their opposition to any escalation of tensions and conflicts in the Persian Gulf region ahead of the United Nations General Assembly session. Maritime security in the Strait of Hormuz, amidst continued conflict between the U.S. and Iran, will be a primary focus of the negotiations.
This meeting occurs as vessel traffic in the Strait of Hormuz has seen a recent decline, heightening concerns about prolonged disruptions to shipping and the global energy market.
