Iraq Asserts Border Measures Are Temporary, Condemns Attacks

Baghdad has stated that actions taken at temporary border crossings are for assessment purposes and unequivocally condemned any attacks targeting Arab nations, affirming that its directives to prevent attacks originating from Iraqi soil are firm. Official Iraqi sources also confirmed that relations with Saudi Arabia will not be affected by recent incidents.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the spokesperson for the Commander-in-Chief of the Iraqi Armed Forces, Sabah Al-Numani, announced that the measures implemented at temporary border crossings are solely for evaluating the current situation. He emphasized that Iraq condemns all attacks directed at Arab countries.

The spokesperson, speaking on behalf of Ali Falih Al-Zaidi, stressed that Iraqi directives concerning the prevention of any attacks launched from Iraqi territory are stringent and decisive. He further stated that the bilateral relations between Iraq and Saudi Arabia will not be impacted by these recent incidents.

This Iraqi official revealed the formation of a committee tasked with investigating recent attacks and confirmed that Iraq is on high alert to prevent the recurrence of such assaults against Saudi Arabia. The spokesperson for the Commander-in-Chief of the Iraqi Armed Forces concluded by announcing that a dedicated command will be established to monitor and inspect border areas.
