China Rejects US Media Claims of Assisting Iran in Jordan Attack

Beijing has strongly refuted allegations by The Wall Street Journal that Chinese entities provided Iran with satellite imagery concerning a US military base in Jordan, stating that such accusations are baseless.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, China‘s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has vehemently rejected claims made by The Wall Street Journal, which alleged that Chinese entities aided Iran in its attack on a Jordanian base. Beijing emphasized its strong denial of these unfounded accusations.

The Wall Street Journal had previously reported, citing American officials, that Chinese entities supplied Iran with high-quality satellite images of a US Air Force base in Jordan. These images were reportedly provided before and after Tehran’s deadly ballistic missile strike on the facility on July 17.

The unnamed US officials, who declined to disclose the identities of the Chinese entities, suggested that Washington linked these satellite images to the attack.

In response, a spokesperson for the Chinese Embassy in Washington told the newspaper that cooperation between Beijing and Tehran is conducted in accordance with international law.
