Ansarullah Official Denies Yemen Army Attack on Mecca, Cites Saudi Misdirection

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, an official from Yemen‘s Ansarullah movement has strongly refuted reports suggesting that the Yemeni army launched an attack on the holy city of Mecca. Mohammed Al-Farah, a member of Ansarullah, stated that these rumors are entirely baseless and false.

Al-Farah emphasized the deep respect Yemenis hold for Islamic holy sites, highlighting their sensitivity towards preserving sacred places. He asserted that Yemenis are among the most concerned about safeguarding Islamic sanctuaries.

He further alleged that Riyadh is employing false pretexts and attempting to rally international support by mobilizing Muslims as a tactic to distract from its domestic failures. Al-Farah described Saudi Arabia’s current situation as a genuine predicament, suggesting that the kingdom is creating tension to obscure its structural problems from global view.

The Ansarullah political bureau member proposed that the resolution to the crisis lies in ceasing aggressions, lifting the blockade, and returning to a state of calm. He underscored that the only path forward is to release Yemen and compensate for the damages incurred over years of war and destruction.

Al-Farah warned that continuing on the current trajectory and seeking foreign support will not alter the existing dynamics. He added that anyone pursuing further escalation will be held responsible for its consequences.

He also pointed out that this approach constitutes a form of “adventurism with Saudi Arabia’s national security and vital oil infrastructure.”
