US CENTCOM Claims Iranian Control Over Strait of Hormuz Non-Existent

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, CENTCOM spokesperson has made a claim suggesting that Iran does not exercise control over vessel traffic in the Strait of Hormuz. The U.S. military command stated that traffic in the strait continues uninterrupted and that Iran has no authority over it.

This American official, speaking ahead of the U.S. midterm elections, attempted to justify some of the administration’s setbacks despite substantial financial investments in operations against Iran. The spokesperson claimed that the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz is complete and effective, and that they guarantee the continuous flow of oil and vessel traffic.

In an effort to bolster the morale of its military forces facing Iran’s defensive capabilities, the U.S. military command further alleged that they had rerouted the paths of over 100 ships attempting to breach the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz. They reported facilitating the passage of more than 900 million barrels of crude oil through the strait and announced the completion of mine-clearing operations on internationally recognized shipping lanes within the Strait of Hormuz.

CENTCOM also stated that it is closely monitoring the situation in the Bab-el-Mandeb strait and has field advisors exchanging information with their Saudi partners.

These claims come at a time when mainstream media outlets and even U.S. officials acknowledge a significant increase in energy prices in the United States following Washington’s and the Israeli regime’s actions against Iran and the subsequent insecurity in the strategic Strait of Hormuz.
