Israel Downplays Iran Link to Flydubai Incident, UAE Expresses Displeasure

Israeli officials have indicated that any direct link between the co-pilot of the Flydubai incident and Iran is unlikely, while the UAE has voiced strong objections to premature conclusions regarding the incident.
According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, data published by Mehr News Agency cited by Yedioth Ahronoth reported that officials investigating the Flydubai incident have so far ruled out any apparent connection between the flight’s co-pilot and Iran.
The UAE has conveyed its displeasure to the Israeli regime through messages, expressing anger over prejudgments before the completion of investigations and the suggestion of a terrorist motive for the co-pilot.
The Saudi Ministry of Interior announced that initial investigations point to an attack by the co-pilot on the pilot of the Flydubai flight.
Earlier, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had attempted to link the Flydubai incident to Iran.
