Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, and Turkey Hold Joint Meeting in Riyadh to Discuss Regional Developments

A high-level delegation from Pakistan, including its deputy prime minister, defense minister, and joint chiefs of staff, has arrived in Saudi Arabia for a joint political and defense committee meeting with Turkish officials in Riyadh. The summit aims to address regional developments and ongoing cooperation under the Mecca agreement.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, a high-level delegation from Pakistan, comprising its deputy prime minister, minister of defense, and the chief of the joint staff of the army, commenced a visit to Saudi Arabia on Monday. The delegation’s arrival was reported by Al Jazeera, citing the Pakistani Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The primary objective of this significant visit by the Pakistani delegation to Saudi Arabia is to participate in a meeting of the Political and Defense Committee, established based on the Mecca agreement. Prominent officials from Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey, as member states, are expected to be in attendance at this Riyadh summit.

Discussions during the Riyadh meeting are slated to focus on the latest regional developments and existing cooperation frameworks, adhering to the provisions of the Mecca agreement. Previously, the Pakistani Foreign Minister had announced that this committee would convene an extraordinary session to discuss the developments in Yemen and the operations undertaken by Ansar Allah forces against Saudi Arabia. This comes amid the ongoing Saudi airstrikes targeting residential and civilian areas in Yemen.
