Trump’s VP Vance: No Evidence Linking Iran to Flydubai Incident

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, J.D. Vance, the Vice President of the United States, emphasized in recent remarks that the U.S. is reviewing its procedures in the wake of the Flydubai incident. He confirmed that no conclusive evidence has been observed linking Iran to the event.
This statement comes as earlier reports from the UAE Attorney General indicated that investigations into the Flydubai flight incident suggested the co-pilot intended to carry out a terrorist act. However, individuals familiar with the case informed CBS News on Sunday that Israeli investigators believe the co-pilot acted alone.
CBS News reported that the co-pilot, Al-Hammami, briefly worked for Oman Air, where he completed his pilot training. According to informed sources, Omani government monitoring revealed Al-Hammami visited extremist websites, leading Oman Air to reassign him to an administrative role.
One of these sources stated that after his reassignment, the pilot resigned from his position at Oman Air, leaving the airline around 2024. Sources also noted that at one point, Al-Hammami published a video featuring aircraft from the Israeli airline El Al in Dubai. The video concluded with an image of Ayman al-Zawahiri, the former leader of Al-Qaeda, who was reportedly killed in a U.S. drone strike in 2022.
