Kremlin States Russia Remains Vigilant Against European Militarization Efforts

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Russia is on alert and closely observing European actions and statements related to militarization, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated on Wednesday. His remarks came as a response to the European Union’s perceived push for military buildup.

Peskov specifically addressed France’s recent test of a new missile with nuclear warhead capabilities, noting that the EU has become sensitive to the issue of militarization. He referenced comments made by French President Emmanuel Macron, who described the missile test as a clear and strong message.

“Given such aggressive actions and plans, Russia is vigilant, and as our minister has also stated, we are closely monitoring developments,” Peskov added.

France conducted the first test of its submarine-launched ballistic missile ‘M51.3’ on Tuesday. While the missile was not equipped with a nuclear warhead during the test, the exercise was intended to assess the operational readiness of the nuclear submarine ‘Le Vigilant’.
