Brent Crude Oil Surpasses $103 Amid Persian Gulf Tensions and U.S. Storms

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Brent crude oil futures have risen by $3 to $103.20 per barrel, as reported by Mehr News Agency, citing Reuters. This price increase is attributed to intensified attacks on shipping lines in the Persian Gulf and Strait of Hormuz, as well as a storm in the United States that has led to the halt of oil production.
International shipping data reveals that the number of vessels transiting the Strait of Hormuz has reached its lowest point in over two months. This decline occurs in the wake of last week’s surge in attacks on oil tankers traversing this critical waterway, marking the highest level since the commencement of the war between the United States and the Israeli regime with Iran.
Data published by maritime navigation analytics firm Kepler indicates that only seven commercial vessels passed through the Strait on Tuesday, representing the lowest figure recorded since July 23.
