Putin Vows Retaliation for Ukrainian Strikes on Russian Infrastructure

Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that Moscow will escalate attacks on Ukraine’s military-industrial complex and infrastructure in response to Kyiv’s strikes on Russian oil and industrial facilities.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Russian President Vladimir Putin declared that Moscow will continue its retaliatory strikes against Ukraine’s military-industrial complex and infrastructure, specifically targeting energy and data centers. This assertion comes in direct response to Ukraine’s alleged attacks on Russian oil refineries and industrial facilities.

Putin stated that while recent attacks on Russian oil refineries have not caused significant damage, Moscow will respond to Ukraine’s actions. He accused Kyiv of initiating the escalation, asserting that Ukrainian officials should not have commenced attacks on Russian facilities without considering the consequences.

“They took the first step, and we began to respond. Now they complain about attacks on other types of facilities, including energy infrastructure and data centers. They started this process and should not have done so. They should have carefully considered the consequences before taking this step,” Putin remarked.

These statements emerge amidst ongoing efforts by the United States to broker an agreement on halting attacks against Russian and Ukrainian energy infrastructure. However, both sides have yet to reach a final agreement on the specific details and terms of implementation.

Earlier, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak reported that Ukraine had attacked oil refineries in the Saratov and Ryazan regions.
