Zelensky Criticizes US Sanctions Easing on Russia, Vows Continued Opposition

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky today, Saturday, criticized the United States’ decision to suspend some sanctions against Moscow, stating that the lifting of restrictions against Russia will continue. He characterized the diesel fuel agreement as just the first step.
The Ukrainian president further claimed that European countries are developing alternatives to the Starlink system after realizing that the U.S. can restrict it regardless of existing agreements or contracts. He alleged that Ukraine continues to use Starlink and cooperate with SpaceX despite these limitations.
Zelensky added that Starlink terminals in Ukraine are being deactivated at speeds exceeding 161 kilometers per hour, while tests indicate they continue to function at speeds above 180 kilometers per hour within the European Union. He then described these restrictions as a “planned operation” and announced that they hinder Ukraine’s use of certain interceptor drones.
