Lebanese Army Denies Israeli Claims of Southern Operations

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, …
The Lebanese Army Command has issued a strong statement denouncing the Israeli regime’s assertions about the conduct of its troops in the southern Litani area, declaring these claims to be unfounded. Units of the Lebanese Army were deployed to a military facility in the Kfar Jawz, Bent Jbeil region in December 2025 and concluded their mission by March 2026. Subsequently, the Israeli regime carried out bombings in the vicinity.
The statement detailed that prior to the bombing, the ceasefire monitoring committee had requested the Lebanese Army units to evacuate the area. In July 2026, a passing truck in the Sidqin area, near Tyre, was targeted just one week after an agreement was signed with the Israeli regime. The Army Command maintains that these documented incidents definitively prove the falsity of the Israeli regime’s claims against the Lebanese Army’s operations.
The statement further asserted that the Israeli regime persists in its aggressions and violations of signed agreements, resorting to the spread of various falsehoods to mislead public opinion. The Lebanese Army itself was subjected to Israeli attacks in the southern part of the country on July 30. This comes despite the Western-aligned government in Beirut having pinned its hopes on an agreement with Tel Aviv to halt the regime’s transgressions.
