US Military Scales Back Presence in Middle East Amid Heightened Tensions

The United States military has reduced its troop numbers in various Middle Eastern regions in recent days, according to reports citing American officials. The State Department has also ordered a decrease in personnel at several of its diplomatic missions across the region.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the United States military has decreased its troop presence in several parts of the Middle East in recent days. NBC News, citing American officials, reported that the U.S. military has reduced its forces in various Middle Eastern areas. This development follows an increase in regional tensions and potential security concerns.

In parallel, the U.S. Department of State has issued directives for a further reduction in the number of personnel stationed at multiple American diplomatic posts throughout the Middle East. The department specifically announced orders for the departure of government employees and their family members whose duties in Saudi Arabia are not classified as emergency missions.

Meanwhile, a spokesperson for the U.S. Department of State refuted reports from Reuters suggesting Washington planned to issue orders for the evacuation of staff from U.S. embassies in Persian Gulf countries. The Department of State emphasized that the evacuation order specifically pertains only to non-essential personnel not involved in emergency missions and their accompanying family members in Saudi Arabia.
