Israeli Military Circles Criticize Netanyahu’s Iran Illusions, Deeming Them Unachievable

Prominent figures within Israel’s military and security establishments have openly criticized Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s directives to the army regarding Iran, describing his stated goals of regime change and halting the nuclear program as unrealistic and unachievable.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, based on data published by Mehr News Agency, the Israeli newspaper Maariv reported that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s statements about ordering the army to overthrow the ruling system in Iran and prevent the country’s nuclear program have faced widespread and overt criticism within the army and the regime’s security institutions.

Maariv, quoting sources from the Israeli army and security institutions, wrote that the war objectives set by Netanyahu are not achievable for any army in the world.

In this regard, security institutions claimed that the army can weaken the Iranian system but is by no means capable of overthrowing it.

Furthermore, sources within the Israeli regime’s security institutions alleged that the country’s army has the capability to delay Iran’s nuclear program for a period, but it lacks the necessary capacity for a complete and definitive prevention.

The Maariv newspaper had previously criticized Benjamin Netanyahu for presenting ten points for the Israeli regime’s security document, pointing to a gap between his statements and the reality of the action, condemning it.

Maariv described Netanyahu’s statements as content-wise empty, writing that these statements offer no real plan for ensuring security.
