Early Warning System Activated in Saudi Arabia’s Najran Region Amidst Yemen Tensions

Saudi Arabia’s Civil Defense announced the activation of an early warning system in the Najran region early Friday. The alert has since been lifted for the cities of Khamis Mushait and Abha, though reports from Yemeni media suggest potential disruptions at Taif Airport due to drone and missile strikes attributed to Yemeni armed forces.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Saudi Arabia‘s Civil Defense confirmed the activation of its early warning system in the Najran region during the early hours of Friday. The organization subsequently reported that the danger in the cities of Khamis Mushait and Abha has subsided following the lifting of the early warning alert.

Concurrently, some Yemeni media outlets reported the cessation of operations at Taif Airport, citing drone and missile attacks by the Yemeni armed forces. These warnings are typically issued in response to missile and drone strikes conducted by the Yemeni army against various locations within Saudi Arabia. However, the Yemeni army has not yet issued any official statement regarding potential strikes on Friday morning, their targets, or any resulting damage.
