Germany Claims European Troika Ready for Talks with Iran

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the German Foreign Minister has claimed that the European troika, consisting of the United Kingdom, Germany, and France, is ready to negotiate with Iran. This statement, reported by Reuters and echoed by Al Mayadeen via Mehr News Agency, suggests a willingness to discuss preventing Iran’s access to nuclear weapons.
The German Foreign Minister specifically stated, “We are ready, together with France and the United Kingdom, to negotiate with Iran to prevent this country from acquiring nuclear weapons.”
However, this assertion from the German official arrives in the context of past experiences where European countries have often been perceived as lacking independent decision-making capabilities in their dealings with Iran, frequently aligning with the hostile policies of the United States.
