Netanyahu Claims Cabinet Formation Amidst Parliamentary Deadlock, Excludes Arab Parties

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has asserted that a government should not be formed with Arab parties, despite his bloc not securing a parliamentary majority in the recent Knesset elections, further deepening the political stalemate.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, the ongoing political impasse in the occupied territories continues following the latest Knesset elections. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has claimed that a cabinet should not be established with the participation of Arab lists, even as he lacks a parliamentary majority.

Upon the announcement of the final results of the Israeli Knesset elections, none of the political blocs managed to secure the required 61 seats to form a government. This outcome has propelled the political crisis in Tel Aviv into a new phase.

Netanyahu’s coalition, comprising right-wing and far-right parties, secured 53 seats out of the total 120 seats in the Knesset. The Israeli Central Elections Committee concluded the final vote count, including ballots from so-called ‘dual envelopes’ (for military personnel, prisoners, patients, and individuals unable to vote at main polling stations), recording a total of 5,697,290 votes.

According to the finalized figures, neither of the political blocs achieved the necessary 61 seats to form a cabinet. Benjamin Netanyahu’s coalition obtained 53 seats, the rival coalition led by Gadi Eisenkot secured 48 seats, and Arab parties collectively garnered 19 seats.
