EU Foreign Policy Chief Kaja Kallas Criticizes Russia Over Ukraine War and G20 Stance

European Union Foreign Policy Chief Kaja Kallas has claimed that Russian forces are focusing on civilian attacks rather than battlefield advances, while dismissing Moscow’s conditions for potential peace talks with Ukraine.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, European Union Foreign Policy Chief Kaja Kallas made anti-Russian remarks during an interview with Bloomberg, alleging that the Russian military is failing to make significant headway on the battlefield and has instead shifted its focus toward targeting civilians.

The senior European official also criticized the presence of Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov at the G20 summit, labeling it as unconstructive. Addressing Moscow’s condition that Russian President Vladimir Putin would only hold direct talks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Moscow, Kallas rejected the proposal, insisting that neutral locations represent a suitable venue for any potential meeting.

Furthermore, Kallas claimed in her remarks that Moscow is actively anticipating divisions among Western nations and expects the West to offer unilateral concessions to Russia amid the ongoing conflict.
