Mohamed ElBaradei, the former head of the International Atomic Energy Agency, weighed in on growing speculations regarding renewed United States military aggression against Iran, asserting that any such hostile move would yield nothing short of expanded insecurity and widespread destruction.

Expressing grave concern through a public message, the veteran political figure emphasized that launching another U.S. attack against Iran constitutes absolute madness that will only fuel further violence and ruin. He explicitly noted that the Middle East, in particular, would bear a heavy toll for such a reckless campaign.

In another segment of his remarks, the former international diplomat called upon individuals holding influence over the President of the United States to dissuade him from pursuing any new military interventions. ElBaradei, who led the UN nuclear watchdog from 1997 to 2009, has consistently voiced warnings over the years against crisis-generating military options targeting Tehran.

Throughout past periods of heightened tension surrounding Iran’s nuclear activities, the former IAEA chief repeatedly underscored the necessity of prioritizing diplomacy to resolve disputes while steering clear of military confrontations.
