Saudi Media Propaganda on Taiz Crossings Aimed at Covering Up Recent Failures

Saudi-backed media outlets are attempting to conceal military setbacks in Yemen’s Taiz province by manufacturing false reports of a humanitarian crisis and tight blockages. In contrast, field footage and daily traffic logs confirm that hundreds of trucks carrying essential supplies, fuel, and medical shipments continue to enter the city unhindered.

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Saudi media apparatuses have launched a concerted propaganda campaign in a bid to mask consecutive defeats on the Taiz front, where extensive areas have been successfully liberated, leaving only limited pockets outside the control of national forces. Riyadh-aligned networks continue to propagate narratives claiming that Taiz faces a severe blockade and that local residents are enduring extreme hardships.

Nevertheless, footage captured by national media outlets clearly demonstrates that basic commodities and food supplies are flowing abundantly into Taiz, with hundreds of transport vehicles heading toward the city daily to discredit official Saudi claims regarding an acute humanitarian crisis. Al-Masirah television cameras documented the smooth transit of cargo trucks carrying foodstuffs, petroleum products, and pharmaceuticals arriving at their destinations without obstruction, which included four International Committee of the Red Cross trucks delivering vital equipment and medical supplies to Al-Thawra Hospital.

This ground reality is further corroborated by local drivers and travelers who commute along these routes on a daily basis, confirming that the roadways remain open around the clock without any barriers hindering the movement of citizens or commercial goods. Informled sources reported to Al-Masirah that public supply conditions in Taiz are fully stable, noting that within a single day, 754 trucks and vehicles loaded with essential goods entered the municipality. These shipments comprised substantial quantities of diesel, gasoline, cooking gas, foodstuffs, medicines, meat products, and fresh produce, underscoring the continuous and uninterrupted supply chain supporting the city.

Media activist Ayoub Idris dismissed the allegations regarding a citywide siege, emphasizing that the crossing controlled by Sanaa forces remains completely open and effectively meets all public requirements. Meanwhile, Al-Masirah reported that Saudi forces continue their deadly attacks against civilians in the province alongside their media campaign, exposing the hollow nature of Riyadh’s professed concern for the local population. These developments unfold as the Yemeni armed forces exercise caution in clearing remaining hostile positions to protect civilians reportedly exploited as human shields by Saudi-backed elements.

Mohammed Al-Farah, a member of the Ansarullah political bureau, stressed that the people of Taiz are forging a remarkable campaign to cleanse their territory of foreign-backed elements and liberate it from occupation. In a statement shared on the social media platform X, he reiterated that these counter-measures are a direct response to ongoing aggression characterized by relentless attempts to subjugate opponents of foreign domination.
