Iraqi Citizens and Truck Drivers Protest Continued Closure of Chazzabeh Border Crossing

According to the International Desk of Webangah News Agency, Iraqi citizens in Maysan Governorate once again demonstrated in the streets to protest the ongoing closure of the Chazzabeh border crossing, chanting slogans and demanding the prompt reopening of this vital transit route.
At the same time, local correspondents reported that a group of truck drivers, customs clearance agents, and cargo handling workers at the Al-Shib crossing—known in Iran as Chazzabeh—continued their protests along the Ghazileh road leading to the border. Demonstrations were also held near the headquarters of oil companies located adjacent to the Bazargan oil fields, as participants emphasized that their daily livelihoods depend entirely on the operation of this border terminal.
Maysan Governorate has remained a focal point of continuous protests over the past two months, following the unannounced closure of the Al-Shib border crossing on the 20th day of the month.
