Hacking 30,000 printers to protest the genocide in Gaza

According to the international group Tasnim news agency, a group A hacker in memory of “Aaron Bushnell” who set himself on fire in February in protest of Israel’s genocide in Gaza, hacked printers around the world and in this way printed promotional brochures containing Bushnell’s message.

The hacker group “Bushnell’s Men” published a message on its Telegram page on March 14, which read: “In light of the press boycott of the Gaza genocide by war profiteers, Bushnell’s Men “As a hacker group, it is committed to exposing this fact by printing this sheet on 30,000 printers around the world.”

On February 25, Aaron Bushnell, a 25-year-old soldier US Air Force One dies after self-immolation in front of Israeli Embassy in Washington DC. Bushnell filmed himself walking to the embassy during a live broadcast on the “Twitch” platform and announced that he protested what the people of Palestine were experiencing at the hands of their colonizers and announced that he would “no longer participate in this genocide.” He then set himself on fire by pouring flammable liquid on himself. The film of Bushnell’s radical protest against the US military’s arms aid to Israel in the midst of the regime army’s genocide in Gaza was published online and met with a wave of solidarity from Palestinians and people all over the world.

On March 17, Bushnell’s group of men released images of documents showing the successful hacking of printers around the world, including Goethe University in Frankfurt, Germany.

The next day, the group published photos of leaflets printed with Bushnell’s image and statistics on the number of Palestinians killed, wounded and displaced by the bombing, as well as Israel’s ground operations in Gaza.

On May 1, the group released images of advertisements in Hebrew that were sent to printers across Israel. These ads emphasized the cost of the war to the Zionists, including the number of soldiers killed in the war, the number of people captured by Hamas in Gaza, and the number of displaced persons inside Israel.

This group announced on its Telegram channel: “We have sent a message to the Israeli people through all the printers, and in it we have presented the statistics of the bitter reality of the war to the Israeli people. This war is only for the benefit of Netanyahu’s government and all its hardships and problems are for the people.”

On May 8, the group released a video from an office surveillance camera at a Texas university that showed two female employees while showing that they noticed the printed ads.

Following Bushnell’s death and his radical protest, Hamas expressed solidarity with his family and said: “He immortalized his name as a defender of human values ​​and the suffering people of Palestine in protest against the US government and its unjust policies.”

The statement added. that Bushnell has sacrificed his life to raise awareness about the massacre and genocide of the people of Gaza by the Zionists.
