This Syrian official explained: Israel’s occupying regime enjoys the support of Western countries in the field of using nuclear facilities outside the framework of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty. The clearest dangerous threat from the Zionists in the field of nuclear security is related to the words of the occupying regime’s cabinet last November 5 regarding the use of nuclear weapons against the defenseless Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip with complete disregard for international treaties and resolutions prohibiting the use of nuclear weapons.

He added: What is very surprising is that instead of condemning such brazen statements and taking action to end Israel’s criminal behavior, we are witnessing a shameful international silence against it.

This Syrian diplomat stated: Syria attaches great importance to the implementation of the 2030 Sustainable Development Program and will never violate the rights of member countries in the peaceful use of atomic energy, and continues to cooperate with the International Atomic Energy Agency to benefit from its support. Technically, he adheres to the use of these facilities in peaceful fields and hopes to strengthen these cooperations.

Bassam Sabbagh further condemns the hostile actions and unilateral sanctions of Western countries against Syria and other developing countries. And he emphasized that the West hinders the ability of developing countries to face the challenges and the necessary measures should be taken immediately to remove the restrictions against these countries so that all nations can enjoy their natural rights, including the right to develop and achieve sustainable prosperity.

He clarified: The responsibility for nuclear security is the responsibility of all countries separately, and therefore Syria adheres to all international conventions and laws in the field of the prohibition of the proliferation of nuclear weapons, and the importance of the commitment of the international community to prevent It emphasizes the threat or attack against peaceful nuclear facilities in any country.
