Pentagon claim: Eisenhower was not targeted

According to the international group Tasnim News Agency, an official in the US Department of Defense (Pentagon) claimed that the Eisenhower aircraft carrier was not targeted in the attack by the Yemeni armed forces and Yemen’s statement in this regard is not correct. Al-Jazeera network quoted this American official and wrote that the fighters that targeted the Yemeni territory from this carrier

Hours earlier, Yahya Saree, the spokesman of the Yemeni armed forces, announced: Our forces targeted the American Eisenhower aircraft carrier in the Red Sea. Regarding last night’s US and British attacks, Saree said that these attacks left 16 martyrs and 41 wounded in Hodeidah.

In this statement, he announced that the American-British aggressors attacked Sana’a, the capital of Yemen, and Hodeidah and Taiz provinces in the past hours.

The spokesman of the Yemeni armed forces said that the American-British coalition targeted civilian sites such as the Hodeidah radio building and the coast guard in Bandar al-Salif and damaged commercial ships in this attack.
