Protesters against corruption in Albania gathered in front of the prime minister's building in Tirana and demanded the formation of an interim government.

reported Mehr News Agency, according to Rianousti news agency, with the call of the Democratic Party of Albania – the main opposition party to the government – protesting citizens gathered in front of the prime minister’s building in Tirana, the capital of this country, and demanded an end to corruption and the formation of an interim government. .

During this rally, some protesters threw Molotov cocktails towards the prime minister’s building.

In the meantime, there was a conflict between the demonstrators and the security forces, and the main door of the building was also damaged.

Despite being under house arrest on corruption charges, former Prime Minister Sali Berisha addressed protesters online and vowed to restore democracy in Albania.

Barisha called for the formation of a temporary government and the holding of free elections and said: This is not a political war, this is a fight for the destiny of Albania.

The demonstrators then moved towards Tirana Municipality and some of them moved towards the Parliament building.
