Japan is considering recognizing the state of Palestine
According to Webangah News quoted by Mehr News Agency, citing Al Jazeera, Japanese Foreign Minister Yoko Kamikawa announced that Tokyo is conducting a comprehensive assessment to recognize the state of Palestine, taking into account the progress of the peace process in the Middle East. .
The Japanese foreign minister said during a press conference in Tokyo that the Japanese government supports the two-state solution in the Middle East.
He added: Japan understands the Palestinian aspiration to create an independent country and supports their efforts to achieve this goal.
He said: Regarding the recognition of the Palestinian state, we are looking for a comprehensive review of this case, considering how to advance the peace process.
In the meantime, several different countries of the world, including Norway, Ireland, Spain and Slovenia, have recently recognized the state of Palestine.
