The President of Ukraine said that he is "relieved" that Trump has often criticized US military aid to Ukraine.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, in a belated reaction, condemned the shooting of Trump at the Pennsylvania rally and said he was “shocked” by the attack.

By publishing a message on his X account, he wrote: “Such violence has no justification and has no place anywhere in the world.” “Violence should never prevail.” 

Zelensky added that he was happy that Trump, who has often criticized US military aid to Ukraine, is “calm” and wished him a “speedy recovery”.

He said: “I wish strength to all those who are horrified by this event. I wish America would come out of this situation stronger.” Trump was “deeply shocked”.

The head of the European Commission, posting a message on his X account, wished Trump a speedy recovery and said he was “deeply shocked” by the shooting that took place during his campaign rally.

He also referred to one of Trump’s supporters who was killed in this incident and expressed his condolences to the family of the “innocent victim” and emphasized: political violence has no place in a democracy.

Kazakhstan President Kasim Jomart Tokayev strongly condemned the attempt to assassinate former US President Donald Trump and wished the politician a speedy recovery.

Trump canceled his rally in Pennsylvania on Saturday because of the shooting. Released footage shows the politician being led away by security guards with a bloody ear. Trump later said that he was wounded in the ear and lost a lot of blood.
The attacker was a 20-year-old man named Thomas Matthew Crooks from Pennsylvania, who moments after shooting at Trump from a distance of 125 meters, was killed by security forces and The snipers were killed.
