5 killed and 20 injured due to a bomb explosion in the capital of Somalia
Monday morning news sources reported that five people were killed and 20 were injured as a result of a car bomb explosion in Mogadishu, the capital of Somalia.
Local Somali media reported that a car bomb exploded near a restaurant in Mogadishu.
According to this report, the explosion occurred when the said restaurant hosted football fans who had gathered in this restaurant to watch the final game of the Euro 2024 football competition.
No person or group has yet claimed responsibility for this terrorist attack.
The al-Shabaab terrorist group is in control of some villages and towns in the south of Somalia and repeatedly targets security forces and civilians in Mogadishu and big cities with bombings.
