Kremlin: Putin is not going to call Trump
The Kremlin announced on Monday that Russian President Vladimir Putin has not contacted him and has no plans to do so after the assassination attempt against US Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump.
According to Al-Quds Al-Arabi report, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, in response to the question of whether the security measures around Putin will be strengthened, said that the Russian leader has an appropriate level of protection and all necessary measures are being taken.
The Kremlin announced on Sunday that it does not hold the US government responsible for the assassination attempt on Trump that occurred on Saturday, but accused it of creating the atmosphere that led to the incident.
Trump was shot on Sunday morning in Butler, Pennsylvania while giving a speech on immigration.
In this incident, Trump was injured and the assailant and one of the rally participants were killed. Also, two other people present in this gathering were injured.
After being treated at the hospital, Trump said in a statement: I was hit by a bullet that pierced the top of my ear.
