America is rebuilding its military command center in Tokyo
report Mehr News Agency, according to Reuters, following the security talks between Foreign Secretary Anthony Blinken and US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin with their Japanese counterparts, Washington announced that in order to deepen cooperation with its Asian allies will rebuild and strengthen its army command center in Japan.
According to the released statement, the “new Joint Forces Command Centers” will help to deepen compatibility with the Japanese armed forces. These centers will be established and renovated in March in line with Tokyo’s plans to create a joint command center to oversee internal forces.
According to Austin, the modernization of the US military command center in Japan is one of the most significant developments in the history of cooperation between the two countries. Referring to what they call various threats from China, Washington and Tokyo have included the overall restructuring plan in their list of measures.
Austin said: We continue to see Beijing’s bullying behavior and attempts to change the current situation in the East and South China Seas, around Taiwan and throughout the region.
