Russian Deputy Foreign Minister announced on Wednesday that Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has a very busy schedule during his visit to New York for the United Nations General Assembly meeting. Many officials are looking to meet him.

Vershinin said: Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov, who heads the Russian delegation, has many multilateral events and bilateral meetings in his schedule.

According to this Russian official, many officials of other countries are looking for an opportunity to meet and talk with Lavrov on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York.

Vershinin noted that such meetings enable Russia to promote real multilateralism based on international law and the UN Charter.

The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia emphasized that this is Moscow’s principled approach and will adhere to it.
