The price of gas in the world increased

Average gas prices in Europe rose 10 percent in October to around $456 per 1,000 cubic meters, according to London ICE futures data and TASS calculations.

According to Mehr News Agency and quoted by TASS News Agency, based on the London ICE futures exchange data and TASS calculations, the average gas price in Europe In October, it increased by 10% and reached about 456 dollars per 1000 cubic meters.

In spite of this, the price of this strategic product decreased by 5% by the end of the day.

Gas futures on September 30 were around $444 per 1000 cubic meters, while on October 31, they were down 2.7 percent. At the end of last month, it closed at $432.

In December 2023, the average gas price in Europe was around $408 per 1000 cubic meter, but then gradually decreased to 337 by April. The dollar has reached $288 in January (a 53% decrease compared to the previous year), in February (a 51% decrease), and $302 in March (a 38% decrease).

After that prices rose again to $320 in April (down 33 percent), to $357 in May (up 0.2 percent), to $384 in June (up 5% over the previous year), to $366 in July (up 9%), to $437 in August (up 10%), to $416 in September (down 0.3%), to $456 in October (down 11 percent) arrived.

Average gas prices in Europe rose due to increased demand for LNG ahead of the start of the heating season, increased gas withdrawals from underground gas storage facilities, and supply disruptions from Norway at the end of the month.

However, underground gas storage facilities in Europe are currently declared more than 95% full and now have more than 105.5 billion cubic meters of gas stored in them.
