Al-Sudani: Iraq will not watch the dangerous consequences of the situation in Syria
report Mehr News quoted by Waa, Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammad Shia al-Sudani announced in a telephone conversation with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan: Iraq will not remain a spectator of the dangerous consequences that happened in Syria.
The Prime Minister of Iraq continued: Iraq has already suffered from terrorism and the results of the control of extremist organizations in areas of Syria and will never allow it to happen again.
Al-Sudani also stressed on respecting the integrity of Syria and its sovereignty and said: Iraq will make every effort to protect its own security and that of Syria.
The Prime Minister of Iraq stated: Islamic countries do not need internal division. The current events in Syria benefit the Zionist regime. The Zionist regime targeted the positions of the Syrian army in a way that paved the way for terrorist groups to take control of some areas of Syria.
In addition to this, the two sides emphasized the necessity of supporting the security and stability of Syria.
