Blinken: We are on the verge of reaching a ceasefire agreement in Gaza
report Mehr News Agency quoted Al Jazeera, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said: We are on the verge of reaching a ceasefire agreement in Gaza and this may be achieved in the next few hours.
He added: We have not yet reached the stage of signing the agreement so that everything is complete.
The US Secretary of State said that if a ceasefire agreement is reached in Gaza, this agreement will be based on Joe Biden’s plan announced last May.
Blinken emphasized that this agreement will lead to the beginning of a ceasefire and the withdrawal of Israeli forces, the release of captives and prisoners, and an increase in aid.
Previously, the news media reported that the time to announce a ceasefire agreement in Gaza is near.
Axios also quoted US and Zionist officials as saying that efforts to implement a cease-fire agreement in Gaza in Doha are still ongoing.
In a conversation with Axios, these officials emphasized that small and unimportant issues will not disrupt the process of ceasefire negotiations.
