Qatar’s foreign minister’s visit to Syria
reported by Mehr News Agency quoted by Al Jazeera, “Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman Al Thani”, the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, arrived at Damascus International Airport, the capital of Syria, on Thursday.
While announcing this news, Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs added that the message of this visit is to emphasize Doha’s support for the new regime ruling Syria.
Ahmad al-Shara (Abu Mohammad al-Jolani), the leader of the Tahrir al-Sham terrorist group, had previously announced that he had invited “Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani”, the Emir of Qatar, to visit Syria and emphasized that “Qatar has a special priority for the new rulers of Damascus because of its honorable positions towards the Syrian people.”
It should be said that Qatar reopened its embassy in Damascus after the collapse of Bashar al-Sed’s regime and after 13 years of closure.
