Russia and Ukraine are on the verge of signing an agreement similar to the Istanbul agreement

reports Mehr News Agency Quoted by Anatolia, Steve Witekaf, Special Envoy US President Donald Trump says Washington is very close to reaching a peace agreement between Moscow and Kiev to end the war.

In a conversation with CNN, he said: “This war was fueled.” And that does not necessarily mean that the Russians have fueled it.
“In those days, all kinds of talk about Ukraine’s joining NATO were raised,” he added. The President (Trump) has talked about this. It was not necessary. Such a move would basically become a threat to the Russians.

Witcaf continued: Earlier, negotiations I call it very seriously and seriously were in the context of what Istanbul’s agreement is called. We were very close to signing a kind of agreement and I think we would use the same framework as a roadmap to reach a peace agreement between Ukraine and Russia.
